Our complete service has been developed to be fully in line with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (“HMRC”) requirements, so you can be sure that everything is completely compliant.

How it Works?

As our employee, we will provide you with an employment agreement that allows you to work flexibly, whilst maintaining your ongoing employment status as a SmartPay employee. Then;

  • We contract with your Agency or Client Company;
  • You let us know your hours worked;
  • We invoice your Agency / Client Company;
  • Your Agency / Client Company pays us;
  • As soon as we receive funds, we pay you
  • We’ll keep you fully up to date and can send you a text to let you know that you’ve been paid

The Benefits to you

As a SmartPay employee you are fully covered by our complete insurance package at no cost to you, including Professional Indemnity, Employers and Public Liability. You can read more about our insurance on the following web page.

Our service cost on weekly invoices is just £27, this equals only £16.52 after tax relief. With SmartPay there are no joining or leaving fees, no fees for expenses, or any other costs to you.

As our employee, we will process all your expenses and as you receive your pay under the PAYE system, we look after all of your taxes, leaving you more time to do the things you want to do.

You have full employee status and are entitled to receive the same statutory payments as every other employee i.e. sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay and adoption pay.

In addition you are also entitled to holiday pay. Because we don’t believe in holding onto your money, we pay you the equivalent of 28 days holiday per year with each payment of wages that you receive. Your payslip will show the amount of holiday pay that is included with your payments.

Your Online Access (COMING SOON)

We also provide you with access to your own online portal where you can quickly and simply submit your timesheets and expense claims and access all of your personal information when you want it 24/7.

Because, after deduction of your allowable expenses, you are paid under the PAYE system, you need have no concerns in relation to IR35, or any other legislation.
